Church Family Update...

  • Adult Bible Class… Nathan Frisk is teaching the adult Bible class this month. He is doing an overview of Paul’s great letter to the Romans. The class is excellent and something you shouldn’t miss. We are blessed to have so many outstanding teachers of the Bible in our congregation.

  • Senior Saints Brunch… at the Borsheim's! Brunch will run Saturday, June 3, from 10:00am to Noon. The invitations went out at the end of last week. Please let the church office know if you do not receive one. Senior Saints generally are those who are 50 and up… but it is open to anyone who wants to be involved with this fun group. We are asking all who wish to attend to RSVP by May 29th, also telling us whether you wish to bring a main dish or dessert.

  • Graduating Seniors… Sunday, June 4, we will be honoring our high school graduates, Kurt Roush & Katie Swaim. We will be having a reception and fellowship cookout after the worship service. Please bring a side dish or dessert to go along with our hamburgers and hot dogs. Our graduates will have tables set up if you would like to leave a gift or write them a note of encouragement or prayer of blessing.

  • Baby Dedication… Also on June 4th. We will have a special time of blessing during the worship service for our new babies who have been born within the past two years.

  • Relay for Life… June 11th Dessert Recipe Auction! Bring a recipe or bid on one! See Tabby Cutler to get involved.

Our Mission Outreach Offering is on June 4th... The goal is $20,000 and there are so many people counting on our success. Please be in prayer about your participation and do everything you can to find out about the plan the elders have put together for our Mission Outreach 2017-18.

Family Spotlight...

The Meeting Where The Future Was Discussed And Planned...
It was a beautiful, late afternoon on the veranda in Jinotega when two of our elders and our ministry staff (Michael taking the picture) met with staff members from Misión Para Cristo to discuss and evaluate the needs of each ministry within the operations. Benny Baker, the Director of the mission is in the foreground, and several Nicaraguan leaders were part of the planning session. Our work in Nicaragua has been carefully planned by our leadership to help with: The Bible Institute (where preachers and congregational leaders are trained in a deeper understanding of God’s Word), Hope for Life (where people in villages learn sustainable activities that improve their lifestyle and health), and their Children’s Ministries (where the next generation of young people in Nicaragua and their parents are grounded in Biblical truth and the joys of life in Christ). Many are being baptized into Christ as they grow older. So the funds we are asking to be contributed on June 4th have been carefully researched. Our leaders believe every dollar will make a real difference in people’s lives.
