Church Family Update...

  • Next Sunday is our Mission Offering… We hope and pray all have planned to be generous next week in cash and pledges so we can exceed our giving goal. Remember our support to Nicaragua, 180 Living (Downtown Ministry), Bible Sports Camp (Here and in Longview, Washington), The Fall Festival with CDA Christian School, Divorce Care, Grief Share, Family Promise and more are all riding on next week’s response. If by chance you plan to be away next Sunday there are cards in envelopes on the Welcome Desk. You may complete and turn into any elder or staff member; or, just hand them a note about what you plan to do so it can be added into next week’s total.

  • Adult Bible Class… Thanks to Nathan Frisk for doing an overview of Romans this month. We deeply appreciate the time and effort he invested in teaching this class. Larry Slate will be teaching in June. His class is entitled: “What is the Truth?” It should be great, Larry also works hard on his classes. Please be part of these super Bible classes.

  • Senior Celebration… Next Sunday, June 4, we will honor our high school graduates, Kurt Roush & Katie Swaim. We will be having a reception and fellowship cookout after the worship service. Please bring a side dish or dessert to go along with our hamburgers and hot dogs. Our graduates will have tables set up if you would like to leave a gift or write them a note of encouragement or prayer of blessing.

  • The Blessings of New Life… Also on June 4th. We will have a special time of recognizing all of the new babies we have been blessed to receive over the past two years. Each child is an amazing gift from God and we want to recognize them.

  • Relay for Life… June 11th Dessert Recipe Auction! Bring a recipe (and samples) or bid on one! Sign up in the Lobby!

The church office will be closed tomorrow for Memorial Day!

Youth Ministry News...

All teens and parents are encouraged to join us TONIGHT for our SNL Devo. We will be at the home of Nathan and Whitney Frisk from 6:00 to 8:00pm to share a meal and a time of fellowship and worship. Be there!
Our final Youth LIFEgroup for this school year will be THIS Tuesday from 7:00 to 8:30pm in the Youth Barn. Come join us as we wrap up our discussion of some of the stranger things we do as followers of Jesus.
We’ll be meeting with the Coeur d’Alene Church of Christ NEXT Sunday for a night of singing. The service begins at 6:00pm; meet here at 5:00pm if you want a ride.

Family Spotlight...

Let's Make a Difference
180 Living
(The Downtown Ministry)
180 Living continues to go well. We are branching out into several areas this year planting house churches.
  • We have 4 interns from Houston (Texas), Liberia (West Africa), Queens (New York), and Anniston (Alabama). They are doing a remarkable job!
  • Our afterschool program continues to grow and offer more opportunities to share Jesus with highly oppositional young people. We have between 20-40 high school and middle school kids each Wednesday and Thursday.
  • Online leadership training with college students around the US is growing, and we are greatly encouraged about the future of the Kingdom as we study with these young people.
  • We continue to meet on Sunday evenings at 1323 E Sherman at 6:00pm for dinner and worship. Many come in and study with us.
  • We have the most amazing core group of leaders at 180 Living. It is one of our greatest strengths. As we branch out many are prepared for being leaders going forward.
