Dalton Gardens Adoption Ministry

The Adoption Ministry at Dalton Gardens Church of Christ was started to encourage families to adopt children without a forever family. Our purpose is to help families raise money needed for their adoption. The ministry is run by a board of members of the church. They will assist and make decisions about where the money is spent. It is expected that a family is involved in all aspects of the fund-raising for their adoption. When a family uses money from the ministry they are expected to raise the amount of money that they used. Grants could be considered by the board with the expectation that the money be repaid in a said amount of time. One hundred percent of the money donated will go to help families with adoption expenses or to help families who have adopted a child and have excessive medical bills after the adoption. Our goal is to find homes for all of God's children regardless of their race, age, medical condition or religious belief.

This ministry is in the beginning stages at this point in time. Our goal is to provide funds to assist families within our own congregation or relatives of our members with the adoption process, or with medical needs of an adopted child, if necessary. We like to think of our adopted children as being raised by the "church" not just their parents. It gives people great pleasure to see how their money has changed a child's life and to also be able to make physical contact with that child while they are growing up in our "church home". We hope that in the future we are able to expand our ministry to allow support for families outside of our area.

Psalms 127:3-5
Sons are a heritage from the Lord, children a reward from him. Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are sons born in one's youth. Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them. They will not be put to shame when they contend with their enemies in the gate.

John 14:18
I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.
